Posted 12-13-2009 at 09:15 PM by Web31337 (In The Middle Of Nowhere [edK's blog])

I had that idea of running vmware-server on linux long time ago, but since i failed to build vmware-modules on my debian i forgot that.
today when i powered on my gentoo server again i decided to try installing it there. why there? well, firstly, because it's a separate server, so i won't load my own computer with virtual machine. secondary is because it's gentoo, and it doesn't require me to know anything to build kernel(especially if i already had one running, built by me previously with...

Linux Malware.

Posted 12-10-2009 at 03:46 PM by rich_c

If you Google ‘Gnome Look malware’ you’ll get numerous results pointing to articles about a screen saver that was available for download from which contained malware designed to mount a DOS attack against certain World Of Warcraft related sites, I believe. No doubt there will be many Microsoft shills, fanbois and astroturfer types who’ll try to take great delight in the existence of Linux malware.

There are some points that need to be taken into consideration though....
