Installing Puppy Linux on a separate, partitioned USB drive

NB Puppy Linux is not meant to be used as a primary OS installed on a hard disk drive:

Download FossaPup-9.5.iso from:

If you have any doubts about the condition of your HDD or SSD, then first make sure that all your personal data is backed up to an external drive or elsewhere.

Next, install gsmartcontrol:

Note: If you do not have gedit installed, then install it using:
