Lossless discussion revisited

I did a test. Ripped 320 Kbps CBR MP3s of a few of my favorite songs and then reripped lossless versions. Could tell distinct differences between the two in every song (some more obvious than others).

Maybe I have uber-sensitive ears? Not ruling out placebo, but I've heard these songs so many times... Maybe I'm crazy.

And another Windows Server certification I can't remember...
It's funny that even though I'm taking the course with a Linux emphasis, I am still going to get two Microsoft certifications. But hey, I'm not complaining!

New laptop!

Another HP finds itself at my house somehow

. It's an HP EliteBook 8740w. Bought it slightly used from a nice guy on another forum for $1025. I love it so far.

Specs:

- Intel Core i5-560M
- ATI FirePro M7820
- 8 GiB RAM
- 500 GB 7200 RPM HDD

Been playing around with the reinstalled OEM Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and enjoying myself. Had quite a bit of trouble with PayPal but everything is pretty much done now.

I am going to quit expressing them and try to subdue the emotions that they may bring forth. No one ever agrees with me on anything, and that depresses me. Many times I feel like I get attacked and/or belittled. It makes me feel like I am in the wrong community here on LQ. I suppose I should just admit that I am dumb and ignorant. I don't even know what is true or right anymore. Just an FYI to some people I'm only human and I have feelings too.

Anyway, from this point further I will...

Set User Agent String in Google Chrome

Code:

google-chrome -user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Arch Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/10.0.648.204 Safari/534.16"

Replace 'Arch' with your distro (there maybe small differences in the version numbers -- disregard this). This obviously needs to be ran from the command line somehow. Most of the big DE's support this.
