More than logic

Thinking back oh so many years ago when the internet was not universal yet and everyone used dial-up bulletin board systems to communicate with. There was a lot of messaging as there is today. When it came to file transfer, that was another story.

At that time, the only way to download a binary file was to download a file full of hex data. The hex data ascii file was then converted to the binary file. There was no error checking so that if you have line noise and extraneous...

When the times get rough in the way that they are getting now, I can assume and somehow just know that everybody is concerned. But following the news on those media which are not TV and trying to fill the gaps by actively looking up the information that is missing, I can state that of all the shit that is hitting the fan a lot falls on France.

As this was a new problem that I had never encountered before, I verified my cookie-settings, noted down all my observations and wrote an email to the bank. The first response by a woman that I happen to know, even though the bank is not in the same country as myself, was ignoring all...

Opera Presto had the best GUI ever. Ever.

I can't speak anything about the web-rendering part, which seemed at very least okay, in pair with firefox and chrome, if not somewhat better, sometimes. Even there the GUI alone could give it an edge sometimes as it had a button where you could choose to display/download no image at all, only display already cached images, or operate normally. Other browsers may even have that function, but it's hidden deeper in a less customizable GUI.

And customization was so easy and powerfull....
