Getting closer

Found a case to use for my in progress pc robot. May have it done in time to enter a contest. Since the router I planned to use with it is down, I will have to use another one. Aha which one?

Found an issue with OpenOffice I do not like. Hope Excel has the same issue. In any case I found a workaround. The issue has to do with using static cell references when I add a row at the top of a list. I will insert the row one row down and move the upper row contents to it.

The balloon man

Went for dinner at a local market today. It is a very busy market
especially on a Sunday night. While having dinner I watched 5 men
lettings off bunches of balloons in the air.
At first I thought they were some fun loving people who were making
pure merry. Went closer, only to find out that those muscular men
had taken over the balloon man's cycle and were letting off all
the balloons tied to it! I watched the balloon man's plight, he was
a thin man...

OTRS: importing an Outlook contacts format CSV to the Address Book

Posted 06-26-2011 at 10:24 AM by catkin

Here's a script and associated SQL to import data from an Outlook contacts format CSV file into OTRS' Address Book.

They were developed and tested using:
  • An Outlook contacts format CSV file generated by export from Google Mail.
  • gnu awk 3.1.8 on Slackware64 13.1.
  • OTRS 3.0.8 running on Debian Squeeze 64 bit using mysqld and mysql 5.1.49.
The awk script prints usage if run with the -h option.

A sample usage:

Have you ever been to Los Banos?

If you have been to a Mexican restaurant, You'll remember the sign Banos from The Bathrooms. Los banos itself is a city, However the part of it that Interstate 5 runs through (below)

Is nothing. Imagine before that truck, is a freeway ramp. Up this ramp you expect there to be civilization ... That's why it is there.

On The Road in America - Part 1

Posted 06-25-2011 at 09:41 AM by Hevithan

Well since this blog option is available, I may as well utilize it.

I was thinking I would chronicle my time I spent hitch-hiking the grand ole US. Roughly 4 years, in which I saw plenty of states, met tons of people, and did things most people have only read about or dreamed.

During this tour of adventures I was banned from National Monuments, stuck on a mountain at 11,000 feet with no more then a $20 tent from wal-mart, spent $3,000 dollars at a convinence
