One of the most common complaints on LQ Forums and other Linux forums is about wifi cards or adapters not being recognised in Linux.

Disable the annoying scrolling animations in GTK3

In GTK3 they came up with the notion that if you have a really long file list, and you want to get to the end of the list by pressing the "end" key, you don't really want to immediatelly jump down there to the end, instead you'd want a few seconds of an animation of the file list rolling up. Which ironically contrasts somewhat with their scrollbar innovation, of instantly moving the view to the "proportional" point on the scrollbar, rather than a click out of the scroller being...

ABOUT ArchEX 2024 BUILD 240101
I’ve made a new extra version of ArchEX with Pantheon, Gnome 45.2 and LXQt 1.4 as Desktop Environments (DE). This ArchEX version uses kernel 6.7.0-rc7-exton. Pantheon is the "desktop environment of elementary OS. It is written in Vala, using GTK 3 and Granite".

Bodhi Is Better

I know I don't post here often. Don't have that much to say other than what goes into my 3 podcasts. But lately, I've been having trouble with Linux Mint 21.2 and LMDE 6, sound problems above all but also problems running Discord (from flatpak).

And ya know, all these issues go away when I boot into Bodhi.

For several years now, Bodhi has been my "fun" distro, but I default to Mint when I need to get work done. The past few weeks, getting work done in Mint...
