I'm not a maintainer of this theme, this is a fix I did just for myself. Perhaps the theme's owners wouldn't even agree with it being a "fix".

GTK3's clearlooks had significantly more wasted space than its GTK2 predecessor. I guess it's due to the fad of "mobile first" design.

It's not that hard to make them more similar in this regard, all it requires is to open the CSS file and reduce several of the "padding" values.

A recent blog posting highlighted to me a former shortcut.

This one is supposed to be fun and not "in your face", or "I'm smarter than you!", just some stuff that comes to mind over the years. Oddly enough, sometimes I comment about these things, to people my age, and they have no idea about them. You'd figure ... but then again, I guess we all have variations in our teachings and life experiences. I guess I also had good math teachers.

Copy-and-pasted "tweaks" to a GTK3 port of the "Mist" theme

Posted 07-13-2017 at 01:20 PM by the dsc (linux-related notes)
Updated 08-17-2017 at 05:32 PM by the dsc (code is closed with /code not /quote)

https://github.com/mkoskar/gtk-theme-mist

The copy and pasted things were bits from the Albatross theme

https://www.gnome-look.org/content/s...content=123952
https://github.com/shimmerproject/Albatross

(Alongside with its "assets" folder linked within Mist's)
