I have been working with setting up LDAP. Like most who try and tackle a new topic, I went out in search for a good guide and have failed to find something for a simple openLDAP setup. So instead of following a crazy extensive guide I decided to learn as any student would.....from the beginning.

The other day while at home, I was doing some surfing and needed to print some info. I was using Salix OS, a Slackware based distro, but made easier to use. So I begin to print and noticed nothing was coming out of the printer. Mind you I have an older Brother AIO which works fine under RPM and DEB file format distros, but for Salix/Slackware, I had to use the tarball format. So it can get a little tricky. I had the printer working for a few weeks up until this moment.
