No sound

I am running PCLOS 07 version. For some reason, there is nor sound on youtube or espn 360. It is Dell Optiflex 240 I think, no sound sound card just straight from the PC. any help would be greatly appreciated ! thankz Gonly

PHP security

I've been helping out my buddy to get his site more secure.
He wrote a small news-site and made many mistakes there, most of them was related to security.
Just a same old mistakes when you forget to filter user input.
Suggest you to read this simple guide I wrote recently. It's a good point to start securing your web applications.

Once again, somebody had criticized a new GNU/Linux distribution for not being friendly enough to new users. This time the target is RMS's Mostly Slax, and the person criticizing is Bruce Byfield in this blog post.

As I understand it, the distribution has been pulled for now. But my comments here are more on Byfield's points of criticism. Specifically, this statement bothers me:

Mounting truecrypt volumes on an sshfs mount

The task:
To mount a remote truecrypt volume locally, using sshfs.

The problem:
truecrypt /home/xri/sshfs-mounted-remote-directory/remote-truecrypt-vol /media/truecrypt1
gives an error message with "permission denied"

The solution:
a) Edit /etc/fuse.conf (or create it), and make sure it has this line:
user_allow_other
b) When mounting the sshfs remote directory, use this option
-o allow_other
