What do you like in a programming language?

As a hobby/educational project, I'm writing the specification and reference compiler for a programming language. Although education and experience are my primary motivators, I really want write a language that people would use.

So here's my question: What makes a programming language good? Specifically, I'm looking at a strongly, statically typed object-oriented language with some functional aspects, with templating tossed in.

Display problem

hello all

i have redhat 9 installed on my pc

which is intel 845 chipset motherboard with PIV

currently i installed Graphics card (NV FX5200)

now i am not able to start graphics in rhl9

but text mode is working fine.

how i can fix this problem

So, the clipboard. Exciting, eh? You probably use it all the time. Cut this, copy that, paste the other. Ideally, you should be able to copy text, images, or anything you like from any application and to drop them into the same
application or any other application. It avoids the need to mess around with saving a temporary file, and sometimes it's the only way to do the job.

The problem is, the clipboard in Linux doesn't...

Acer Ferrari 4005 WLMi

My Acer Ferrari laptop was purchased 23rd March 2006 through the on-line suppliers and it blew up the day it arrived! The power supply just fizzled and then would not recharge the battery pack. When I contacted ebuyer I was told to return it to the manufacturer, which I did. It was repaired under warranty and returned to me in around a month so I had no use of it for that time.
After about a years (almost continuous) use the power input plug and socket started to get warm and this...
