It's crude but seems to work. I simply don't get why webdesigners think it's a great idea to needlessly hide small menus under that "vertical ellipsis" icon. At very least those could be displayed just by hovering.

GPU benchmarking... that was scary

The computer I was using before apparently is dying... somewhat bulging capacitors, with the screen getting totally corrupt along with the sound, and "REISUB" doesn't work...

I've just moved the HDD/OS to a different motherboard, somewhat similar computer... and I was checking the actual hardware specs on "hardinfo"....

I clicked more or less accidentally on "GPU drawing", not noticing it was under the benchmark section (and not expecting...

I have finally managed to make a version of RaspAnd Nougat 7.1.2 (for Raspberry Pi 3), which has GAPPS installed and Google Play Store working. This version of RaspAnd can be installed in Windows using Win32 Disk Imager. The video performance is generally much better than in previous versions and the screen flickering is (almost) gone.

Reorganizing My Personal Programming Projects

I've been working somewhat directionlessly on my various programming side-projects, and decided to take a couple of days to organize them all a bit and decide on some priorities.

The numbers came up better than I'd feared -- of my seventy-one projects (11 C projects, 2 python projects, 50 perl projects), twenty-two are in working condition. That's nearly a third of them! Six of those projects have been published, either to CPAN or to github or to my own codecloset web page.

Gentoo Upgrade Script

This is a script I put together to update my system. I know a lot of people like to run a script and it do everything but I like to get user input to ensure the next step you really want to complete.

I'm sure there are easier way of doing some of the things and I have built in precautions to hopefully keep you from making a mistake.

I've made some minor adjustments to the script by adding color and looking for input to be one or the other.
