Hope this helps others.

Setting up remote xwindows on linux red hat to use on windows

/usr/X11R6/bin/Xvfb :1 -ac -screen 0 800x600x16 &
export DISPLAY=:1.0
/usr/X11R6/bin/mwm &
xhost +

the last command will disable security so be sure you know that nobody else will access the server, otherwise anybody will be able to access the remote interface

You will require an ssh client to forward x11 packets and you will...

httpd problem

i am configure mail server successfully , but when i type
it gives error

404 Not Found
File not found.

and one more error is


You don't have permission to access /webmail/ on this server.
Apache/2.0.52 (Fedora) Server at Port 80

pls tel me the solution.

Check disk after booting Ubuntu (64-bit)

Hi, I am using Ubuntu 64-bit on my Acer laptop. Every time while starting ubuntu it checks all disk partitions automatically. This consumes lot of time. Please help me to deactivate this auto check.

Sound problem in Acer laptop

Hi, I have installed Ubuntu (64-bit) in my Acer laptop. And I am unable to hear any sound by my laptop's speaker but when I plugged in external speakers. I can hear the sound by the external speakers. The audio device is Intel Corporation 82801H (8280H). Please help me to hear laptop's speaker.
