☻☻☻ Pipeing youtube-dl output to a given player (and having it as a mini-script)

youtube-dl -f ${2:-5} $1 -q -o - | mpv -
The first parameter is the youtube url, for a single video, and the second, optional, the quality code, like "best", "worst", or a given number. The default there (5) is the 240p flv.

Just "mpv youtube-URL" was supposed to work, but isn't working right now for me. It says the youtube-dl version is old,...

Killed my xserver - here is a quick fix

Delete your xorg.conf and reboot.

Actually, I just logged in as root and moved it to my home folder. I wanted to compare the new configuration file, which gets autogenerated, to the mangled config, which got that way when I tried to get Jedi Outcast running.

I did have to reset the resolution as it was on 640 x 480 (This is the default resolution for Jedi I think)

This is something in which there is no windows equivalent. Which for some nerdy...
