I HAVE been to all the therapists in my city, which aren't many, considering where I live. I am currently on anti-depressants and mood stabilizers. My doctor recently reduced the dosage, which wasn't a good idea really, but there was no way he could have predicted what was about to happen.

I'm looking for empathy on the internet because I sure as hell haven't found it in real life. I'm gonna try to cut some veins today, to see what happens. I can post pictures if anybody wants to see it.

I wouldn't recommend looking for empathy at the internet (worst place) - because of the lack of face-to-face contact/nonverbal communication (see #5 here), internet communications tends to be more "heartless" and people are prone to misunderstandings. Pure text is the worst possible way of communication - with phone at least you get to hear voice which restores part of non-verbal communication.

Also, I wouldn't recommend looking for empathy at all. It is much easier to deal with any situation when you rely only on yourself - because when you expect nothing from people, it is hard to get disappointed. But that's my idea of living, it might not be compatible with your personality.

Before you do something stupid I'd recommend to send mail to samaritans(jo@samaritans.org) and remember that it is quite possible to survive suicide attempt but get some kind of brand new disability for the rest of your life.

If you said that to me in person and I thought you were serious, then I would call the police.

However, we're talking two through forum posting accounts. So what, exactly, are you expecting me to say to you?

This seems to suggest that you can still reflect on your condition, which is good. My recommendation is go see your doctor right away and tell him what you have said here.

Instead of cutting your veins, why not go out and find another nice girl ? Maybe it will put you in a better mood.

Here's what happens: Blood comes out. Depending on how much, you might lose consciousness, and perhaps die.
Now, if it's worth it just for a person, it's doubtful.

My brother tried twice committing suicide over a girl, one time wanting to throw himself infront of a train, but police managed to find him first, second time he swallowed 18 (!) ecstasy pills, ending up in hospital and his stomach being cleared.

This is now at least 8 years ago. Today he's in a relationship with someone completely different, for a few years now, thinking about marriage and building own house, and starting up a family, and the most important part is, he's happy.

So, if he had ended his life, he'd (obviously) never experience this.

Since the party is today, you should have tried to find some other female, or even pay one to attend the party with and have her all over you during the party. It may make the other one a little jealous and see what she will be missing.

I doubt cutting your veins will make her change her mind and make her glad she left you. Find some friends and or another female to be with and continue living. Life have its ups and downs.

Bro I live in indo-pak region and alot of my friends have lost girls due to a number of reasons,including (specially) social.It may not be easy to 'get a girl' or 'find a company' nor is every society very open to discuss these issues and they faced these issues,but believe me they came out strong from this, in my opinion even in acute depression talking to people,friends is the best medicine (considering my friends had almost no access to therapists).
