[solved] HTML5 Youtube with no video on Firefox/Iceweasel, in Debian testing/Stretch

Googling a little bit about, some solutions to the same symptoms pointed to needing to install something like gstreamer-ffmpeg. But not only that's unavailable in the latest Debian testing (Stretch), but it seems it's the other way around: for me it started to work again when I deactivated something related to gstreamer on about:config.

Doing so doesn't seem to have affected anything else (namely flash videos). But I feel that now HTML5 on youtube is somewhat heavier, buy maybe it...

Icedove: Cleanly reply to a message from a web archive

Posted 08-09-2015 at 07:08 PM by jere21

When you reply to a message, Icedove (Thunderbird) adds the <message-id> of the replied to message in your new mail's header field "In-Reply-To".

If you want to answer to a post in a mailinglist that you read in a web archive of the mailinglist, but hadn't been subscribed to it previously (so you don't have the replied-to message in your mailbox) you can do this manually (if the web archive lists the message id).

Roadmap to destiny

Posted 08-09-2015 at 03:19 AM by m3rl1n

I assume that - at least once in your 'working' life, you've felt that your job wasn't satisfying you. Working in Hi-Tech - the last 29 years have been reasonably interesting, but lately I felt that whatever I sought to do, wasn't doing it for me. Now I think I might have found what I was destined to do: Ethical Hacking!

My personal roadmap to becoming a savvy computergeek in many area's of computer technologies started when I was only 16. I was seriously interested in how computers...

If you have some experience with higher level programming languages (such as Python for instance), you have undoubtedly came across lists and arrays.

There are arrays in Bash too, but there is a pitfall when you delete items from an array in Bash; the index disappears with the item!

First, consider this example with a list in Python:
Code:
>>> myList = ['foo', 'bar', 'baz']
>>> myList
['foo', 'bar', 'baz']
>>> del myList[0]
...
