This program converts line endings of text files between MS-DOS and **IX formats. It detects binary files in a nearly foolproof way and leaves them alone unless you override this. I have made this mouse scroll by using the ball and holding the small left button, in both Debian sid and Ubuntu 8.10. These procedures are entirely different! Ubuntu has an unconventional (or perhaps just more up-to-date) xorg configuration method.

Ati Video problem

I have an install of Debian unstable that recently had a pile of upgrades, and afterward had extremely slow scrolling in Iceweasel/Firefox/Epiphany and even Opera. I have the fglrx drivers installed. I tried safe mode for Iceweasel, but no improvement. I finally resorted to "vesa" drivers in xorg, which seems to have fixed the problem. More if I discover the cause.

Perhaps I'll try an aptitude reinstall fglrx to see what happens.

In the mean time I have installed...
