[Update: flex IS mind blown! ...

Update to the update. We MIGHT be able to use flex if we 'touch' the files before creating them.

  • New extended target built-ins for mc2 Makefiles
  • Hopeful work-around for flex's brain damage

Upgrading the Kernel in Vectorlinux

Posted 06-28-2012 at 03:40 PM by stretchedthin

Vectorlinux uses gslapt for software installation (and yes it does dependency checking :-)), but Vectorlinux does not use the package manager for handling kernel upgrades.
Kernel upgrades are made available on a regular basis in the form of txz packages that are manually installed.
What the video to get a clear idea of the steps involved and maybe come away with an understanding that this is not as difficult as you may assume.

Watch the video here.

New libLQ-qt version

Posted 06-25-2012 at 06:22 PM by rainbowsally

This is a temporary post.

The current version will be posted here, which also has links to non-qt version.

This is a makefile generation system with automatic source detection and several modes of operation so other makefile systems can be added to a project, each source file can make a separate main, etc. (Type mc2 -help after installation.)
