Code:
$ grep CONFIG_NO_HZ /boot/config-generic-2.6.37.4
CONFIG_NO_HZ=y
Code:
CONFIG_NO_HZ:

This option enables a tickless system: timer interrupts will
only trigger on an as-needed basis both when the system is
busy and when the system is idle.

Symbol: NO_HZ [=y]
Type  : boolean
Prompt: Tickless System (Dynamic Ticks)
  Defined at kernel/time/Kconfig:7
  Depends on: !ARCH_USES_GETTIMEOFFSET && GENERIC_CLOCKEVENTS [=y]
  Location:
    -> Processor type and features
  Selects: TICK_ONESHOT [=y]
that and voluntary kernel preemption are a nice (powersaving too) default

Or, we should expect a huge batch of new packages?

Yes, well spotted. All this talk of 'leet' is just a smoke screen.

It's the new versioning scheme: SLACKWARE_VERSION.KERNEL_VERSION
So the next one will be somewhere around 14.44 or so, and then we have 15.48 (give or take - depending on how far the kernel has progressed by then. )

I think we also had a confirmation of that.

Note: "could" but not "will". So it is not confirmation.

Ahh, so we did!

Well there you go then. From the horses mouth! I rest my case.

But wait!... if you dig deeper this is clearly just subterfuge!
13 and 37 (hex) is 19 and 55 (decimal)!
This has to be a tacit admission that Pat and the Church of the SubGenius are the ones behind the deaths of Albert Einstein and James Dean, and were responsible for the Dogers' eventual win of The World Series. Clearly, Albert and James must have been deemed a threat to the Church that needed to be neutralised, and the Dogers were obviously just a bunch of Slackers who couldn't win on their own without the intervention of the Church!

All that's left to wonder now, is how they managed to cover this up for so long!

P.S. If you don't hear from me again, you know they got to me!

The Hundred Years War began in 1337, so I think it's a sign that we English should invade France as soon as 13.37 is released. I'm polishing my armour and sharpening my sword ready for it.
