xmms and totem

Hi!

I'm a total newbie on linux. Everything is working fine, except of Xmms and totem. Totem wont start at all. It says that the program is busy but I ain't doing anything! And xmms is starting but not playing any mp3. What can I do?

What errors do you get when you run Totem from Shell? Have you run top to see if there is already an instance of totem running? I don't know Ubuntu but you'll need Lame installed to play mp3. Xmms will also need the lame plugin installed.
