Angry cannot read octet-stream files from cdrom in Simply Mepis

I tried to view a cd of pictures while in Simply Mepis.konqueror opens and shows 3 files, autorun.inf, udfrchk.exe, andudfrinst.zl. When I click autorun I get [autorun]
open = udfrchk.exe autorun and nothing happens. I click udfrchk.exe and nothing happens. I click udfrinst.zl I get an open with box. I tried several apps but nothing happens. It has something to do w/ octet-streams. How can I open these pictures? HELP!!! THANKS WOOB Every app I try says unknown file type.
