Hi Guys,

I have just installed RHEL 5 on a PC with an Asus P5S-MX SE motherboard that has an onboard SiS191 Network Card.

lspci finds this

00:04:0 Ethernet controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 191 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (rev 02)

but there is no eth0 configured and no line about it in dmesg.

modprobe sis190 doesn't do anything either.

Any idea how I can get this card configured - appreciate the help.

Some further information I discovered. dmesg shows this

sis190 Gigabit Ethernet driver 1.2 loaded.

I'm sure this is the problem - but how do i fix this?

In theory, this card must work... You said that Please do the command to load the module again, and after this, see dmesg and post the last lines showing info about kernel response for the module loaded.
