I'm looking to buy the SUSE Pro 9.1 soon and I currently own SUSE 8.0 Personal. Am I able to get the "Professional Update" and if so can I just put the 9.1 CD into the computer with a blank hard drive and bootup? It would then ask me for my prior SUSE CDs and I could just insert them and have it read it? Or do I need to have 8.0 installed and then update?
As far as I know, the update version is the same as the professional one, but it doesn't contain the manuals. You should be able to install it on a blank hard drive without prior SUSE CDs.

I just recieved the SuSE 9.1 Upgrade Version yesterday and am happy to report that the only thing it didn't come with was the user manual. It comes with a new and improved Administration manual, 5 cds, and 2 dvds.
