SuSE 9.2 Professional Out
Just wanted to let everyone know that SuSE 9.2 Pro is out. Got mine yesterday in the mail. I just can not believe the fantastic selections on these disks. It is a 5 CD set with an additional 2 DVD set, thick manuals and nice CD case. I couldn't begin to tell you how much stuff is on those disks, but everything including my wireless card (D-Link DWL-G650) was configured on my laptop (old Gateway Solo 9500).
I got two other folks at work to go in with me on it, and at $33 a piece, it was well worth it. It has all of the latest versions of programs, Firefox, Thunderbird, and all of the valuable plug-ins that took me days to configure when I searched for thenm on the web.
I'm only disapointed that they didn't ship gnome 2.8 with it. Its been out plenty of time for them to include it. I hope they put more time into setting up gnome at least then. They seem to setup everything to work with KDE, which is nowhere near as good as Gnome.

I agree that Gnome is great, but this edition has all flavors of desktops. This has Gnome 2.6, but with the new Evolution (2.0.1) and hey are easily interchanged at the log-on screen. I have gotten to like KDE (3.3) more now, since I manipulated the design somewhat. K-Mail has integrated virus protection and Spamassasin. No too shabby.
