Sick of lazy ppl that complain they don't have money?

These people drive me insane - they try to blame all their problems on the U.S.

If you don't like it leave.

God Bless the U.S.A.

Same here, I worked two part time jobs to pay my way through school. I didn't go out much and spent all my time either studying or working. However, a few years later... it has all paid off. I think a lot of people are handed the first 18 years of their life and expect it to keep getting handed to them... that's when the real world kicks in and it freaks a lot of people out.

I've been to several other countries and if you think it sucks here.. try living overseas for a few years. You end up with a new found appreciation.

I haven't seen this kind of "love it or leave it" stuff in a long time. Perhaps this is because the dropout generation is somewhat behind us. We still have non-contributors but they seem more passive. Maybe just my age.....
What is the motivation for this thread--did you feel somehow threatend by someone?

Some observations about US vs the rest of the world. First, we are WAY behind in health care. Second, we put up with a lower level of education than many "modern" countries. Third, we sometimes have less regard for environmental and conservation issues than global realities demand. We still cling to the notion that we are somehow entitled to continue a non-sustainable lifestyle.
The topical issue is our obsession with wiping out muslim extremists without addressing the root cause, to wit our dependence on oil from the region. Our brilliant solution is to go drill for more and cause more ecological damage somewhere else.
I offer a paradox for discussion: By some metrics, you will find the standard of living lower in many other countries. The quality of life, however, may actually be higher.

On my thread video game violence vs. tv violence some communist crazies got on and said that people should get free housing and everything handed to them on a silver platter(big discussion interesting to read).

I am a running start student because I studied and did my work so I could get good grades, I am headed towards a good job and am sick of people that ask me whether or not I feel I "deserve" better. I think you deserve to get what you work for no more no less. But life isn't fair and some people need to realize that no matter how hard you work you might not make it big. That's the way of life in everything.

Education is so bad in the U.S. because Liberals want to brain wash kids rather than train them how to do math. Drilling in one spot in 5 million square miles of land hardly constitutes ruining the enviroment. Health care is far more advanced in the U.S. than in Europe(if you disagree prove it.)
However, all this is subject for another thread and I am really getting sick of thread-jacking. If you want to talk about this make another thread.
Also the root cause of Muslim fanatics is that they are murdering maniacs that want to take over the world, and if you want to discuss it with them they will give you a choice convert to islam or die. Read the koran it's in there.
You seem to forget that they MURDERED 3,000 of our people. Even John Kerry thought we should go after them that day.
God Bless the U.S.A.

PS: They were also bashing the U.S. so if any real patriots ((unless I'm the only one left)want to get on there and help me out I would appreciate it.

Your kidding right? That must be a joke post.......
So many vague, opinion bases, unsubstatiated statements made, its laughable to even waste time responding, but I will, just to entertain your disire for confrontation.

What does WAY behind in healthcare mean? Behind in what exactly? Behind who? I can go to any doctor at any time I want and get immediate healthcare and if I cannot afford it or anyone else we can go to the emergency room in any hospital and they, by law must treat you. That is a fact, and the US does have some excellent hospital care.
We put up with a Lower level of education, How do you figure? where does this kind of propaganda come from? If thats true why are people from other countries pouring in to the US to go to our universities?
The whole Oil/environmental/middle east opinion lumped into one statement is not worth responding to because its rubbish.

I walk outside, look at the blue sky, at the beautiful mountains and wonder WTF are you people talking about?

Thats why i dont watch the News, its just a whole bunch of misinformation, propaganda, opinion and lies to coerse people into thinking theres alot of crime and the environment is being destroyed and were all going to die tomorrow, Just a bunch of commies trying to scare americans into voting the way they want us to.

Another myth that has been circulated around the world is that there is some kind of huge population of poor people in the U.S. That is a blatant lie.

Awesome. We haven't had one of these types of thread in ages. I'm not going to close it right now because it would appear that there have been few Muslims who wanted to post or people from countries with decent welfare programs who seem to have avoided becoming communists.

But hey, rest assured that it will be closed at some time. Who knows, I may even rename it to "This thread is flamebait" - let's see how I feel.

I can't comment about your education system in it's whole but I'm reasonably sure you don't learn much about other countries. While I was at school I was lucky enough to meet a total of 5 (small sample for a survey I know but they were all random I swear!) American students and they were all suprised that we didn't run around in khaki yelling "crikey" like Steve Irwin and where all the kangaroos were in the highly populated city area that my high school was in.

You mean all australians dont have pet kangaroos, at least we do know that the governor of California is from australia, LMAO....

You are correct though. The schools here have been hijacked by a bunch of hardline-socialist-lazy-union-obese-sexually repressed wemon who would rather brainwash children with their political based propaganda instead of teaching them things like math, geography, spelling, and using linux instead of windows.

I love how these threads work. They go from talking about people who expect to have things handed to them to "hardline-socialist-lazy-union-obese-sexually repressed women".

Please just label this thread "flaimbait", close it, and move on.

I think the original post has a point. I used to live in a council estate in the UK. It was full of people who used to sit in front of their sattelite TV, smoking fags and drinking beer, in their £100 addidas trainers, then complain because the council had not been round quick enough to paint the front door or cut the grass.

The thought of stirring themselves off their lazy asses and lifting a finger to help themselves never crossed their minds. And work? Thats something that other people do.

We have whole sections of our society who are raised from birth to expect everything to be handed to them on a plate. Everything they lack is due to the goverment or the council not doing its job properly.

They suck the life blood of the country and provide nothing in return. These people are simply parasites.

I can't generalise about other countries but from personel experience I can tell you its true for the UK.

If you make 80K or more a year, you can pretty much claim your almost in the top 2% of wealthy people in America. There's poor people, you're just looking in the wrong places.

I have. I've helped a few before as well. Some of them even had jobs and they were still starving.

This is why you should read more or at least know what your talking about before stating facts that aren't true, Arnold is from Austria, not Australia, two different countries from two different continents.

And don't be fooled just cause you walk outside and see that your own backyard is clean, sky is blue, air smells fresh, etc. That doesn't mean it's not contaminated a few hundred yards away or like that across the world bud!
