I think it's far more likely that one of KDE's base programs is failing to run. Like konqueror, I'm guessing it's simply AWOL.

I really think it's a better idea to reinstall from scratch than try and figure out what is and isn't missing. It's not just KDE, but anything on his system could be fubar'd, since apparently the initial install went horribly wrong.

someun here said install using debian pure.

i downloaded debianpure version 0.2

now i am wondering wat does debian pure do exactly.

i ve heard ( from a friend) that proper debian installtion(from cd1,say) a lotta questions are asked such as agp identifier,etc.

So my question is does DebianPure autodetects everything & configures them for my use or just puts in some default values??

Also how much will my system differ if i ve installed Debian via DebPure or from scratch ( i.e. original cd).
