[If you have had trouble compiling qtgiac, this might help.]

http://rainbowsally.org/rainbowsally...giac-rs.tar.gz (about 2 megs)

This qtgiac build currently works with the following version of libLQ/mc2 (and also with later builds of the mc2 v. 2x). If you need this to work for sure AND you want to mess with the makefiles, get this version of the libLQ/mc2 as well to make the job a little easier.

The VirtualBox project provides full x86 virtualization, and was developed by innotek and Sun (now Oracle). The licence is GPL, although there are some optional proprietary extensions, which include USB drivers and RDP support. Code:
apt-get install virtualbox-ose

Updated 06-06-2012 at 07:48 PM by D1ver

Openembedded is a handy way to crosscompile software for embedded devices. After spending most of the day struggling to get the initial build process to complete on Slackware I figured I'd make a post here in the hopes of saving someone some time in the future.

Required Software:
OE lists the required software at http://www.openembedded.org/wiki/Required_software
I found the following packages at slackbuilds.org
- help2man
- chrpath
and built texinfo...

Posted 06-01-2012 at 08:45 PM by neonsignal

The network time protocol (NTP) is used to synchronize the system clock with a network of high accuracy clock sources around the world.

A typical way of using ntp is to just install the ntp package, and then edit /etc/ntp/conf and choose a time server, for example:
Code:
server au.pool.ntp.org
The ntp daemon will then maintain the local system clock on an ongoing basis.

On a minimal system, to avoid the memory overhead of the ntp daemon,...

csvfs-1.2.1: new stable version released

Posted 06-01-2012 at 04:20 PM by hydraMax (Bits and Pixels)

csvfs project page

Debian packages are available, and Fedora packages are rolling off the line as I type.

The new version does not yet implement all intended file system operations, but it gets closer. The previous stable version provided a read-only file system, while the current stable version allows editing of individual data fields.
