Last time I visited changelog64 , a major up haul to slackware current was done, new xfce, kde releases and a new 3.18 kernel. This indicates a possible 14.2 Slackware will be released in due time when stability is deemed.
Until then, I embarked on a little experimentation about making a minimal -current install.
Since I did not want to reboot, I tried chroot. It did not work, so have to do more steps.
NEWS 150520 about AndEX – The Absolute Ultimate Edition
My new build of Android-x86 Lollipop 5.0.2 has GAPPS pre-installed. I.e. Google Play Services, Google Play Store, Google+, Maps, YouTube and more apps. The ISO is called android-x86-5.0.2-lollipop-GAPPS-kernel4-exton-687mb-150520.iso. I call it The Absolute Ultimate Edition because AndEX build 150520 is totally error-free. Google Maps is the only app you’ll have to update. (Just start Google Play Store and do it!). All other included...
[kdevelop3 32 and 64 bit versions (binary installers using 'make' are included below). See for yourself. And scratch your head, wondering... Where did we go so wrong?]

Codeblocks does not let you override the system...
new.sfxz text-based archive creation utility, C version
Today's fantastic adventure in Computer Mad Science is the creation of a utility to create the 'sfxz' text-based archives, such as this one (see below). But for anyone not familiar with amazing, magical, and mystifying power of Computer Mad Science, there are some other interesting things going on here.
Feature:
A simpler, faster, more reliable sfzx sytem using the C slist variation.
