All distros(operating systems of which there are more than 100) come in two flavors; Gnome and KDE. The major difference is in the aesthetics; in the look and feel. Most people say Gnome is more professional than KDE but it is a matter of personal preference, But then everybody knows Mackintosh is by far the better os than windows pc(Microsoft). Linux isp down details

Hi,

I am having two isp one is nad i am using juniper to control them now i want to configure a linux server to provide me information if one of my isp is down so that i can make a follow up how i can configure linux so that i can ping one isp and another isp because if i can ping any one dns it will goes to the default isp, if i swithc it to another one it will then shifted to the another link and make a ping to another one link.

Network Performance Fine Tuning in openSUSE & SUSE

openSUSE and SUSE Linux sets default values for some of the network related Kernel parameters. With Kernel 2.6 (default in recent releases of openSUSE & SuSE Linux), there are some fine tuning you can do to improve Network performance and get that extra out of your system.
