Extended winter Vacations!!!

Posted 04-04-2016 at 11:19 AM by onebuck

Hi,

Officially, my wife and I are now Florida homeowners!! Closed on the property this mourning. I think we will be leaving in Oct/16 and not returning until late April/17. Right now it's cold outside and chance of rain later in the week. Spoke to a friend in Florida this mourning and it's in the mid 70s', expecting to get to the mid 80s' today. We've got a great community in Florida with loads of activities. Keep the wife busy, while I golf!!

My wife has told me there are several things she wants to do for the new home. I told her we can do it but that I am not going down to work the whole time in Florida. I will be playing golf whenever possible. She's got her Disney pass so no conflicts for vehicle uses. I bought a new(to me) Club Car golf cart and it's street legal. So I can drive the cart up to the Ninetieth hole for a few beers after a round or two of golf. I am not paying all this money to be a snowbird and not use the time there enjoying the settings. I'm sure our Illinois friends will be down for a visit or two. Welcome, my wife will need to schedule things. We will be getting new furniture for sure!

Our weather here in Central Illinois is turned upside down. Heck, we had some sleet early Saturday mourning then got to the 70s' on Sunday.
I think I will go and play some golf today with the Senior league. Winds are slight and it might get to 50. Clear skies and low wind so it should be OK.

As I say;
Have fun and enjoy!
