Back home after extended Florida stay

Hi,

Well I finally made it back to Illinois after having to wait for a Dr to approve my wife to travel after a health issue. I leave Florida after a record May heat record only to return to humid an hot Illinois.

I have only played golf since being back three times. So much busy work to get things back to normal. My lawn tractor drive belt broke. I had to search for a source for a new belt. My normal reseller retired and closed shop since the kids did not want anything...

Hi,

Love it here in Florida until it gets cold. But it will warm up tomorrow so I can get back to the links.

I lost a good friend this past Christmas eve to a blood clot . He went home an told his wife he was tired and wanted to lay down. She went in to check on him but he was gone. Autopsy today to find out for sure. He was our club pro and was trying to change club culture. Very ethical and just got back his amateur status after being a PGA pro. Nice guy and very personable....

It's snowing outside, time to get out of here!

Hi,

Just snow flurries but it is dropping temperature fast. Time to head south for the winter. Leaving tomorrow morning at 04:00 and driving straight thru. Should be home in Florida by late Wednesday night, about 17 hour drive. My wife said she would drive 5-6 hours at the start. So I will finish the trip. She sets speed at 80-85 mph, a little fast for me but she's driving and I will bite my tongue. She should make it to Tennessee before I take over. she doesn't like to drive the mountains....

Back to Illinois and it sucks big time.

Hi,

I've been back 7 weeks and the Governor dictator here in Illinois is power hungry. We were allowed to eat out this past week but under a tent.

My golf here has been limited and I am now getting used too grass under the ball. In Florida there is no real grass in the fairways and it does take some time for me to adjust picking the ball without blading it.

It's getting to where I may just make Florida my permanent residency with the way this states political...

My days are limited in Florida

Hi,

It has been nice here in Florida until this damn covid-19 shutdown. Social distancing and stay in place sucks but I do not need to get that damn bug.

We can still play golf since our course has been closed to the public. We use our own golf carts. We no longer play outside courses since those have been closed to the public. It's been real hot the last few days so we start early to beat the heat.

We plan to leave on 4-25 early Saturday morning and drive...
