Just returned back to Slackware from long journey of distro hopping. Can't be happier to be back home with Slackware

Openbox with tint2.

JWJones, what were you reading news with in your sepia toned cwm theme (the T61 theme, as you called it)? Is that just lynx?

Slackware with calm window manager

I did a fresh 32-bit installation of 14.1 yesterday, omitted all DEs and WMs, and then installed cwm from SlackBuilds. I also omitted consolekit and policykit from the installation, in the interest of reducing unneeded processes. A nice, fresh, clean, non-bloated setup...

Here's my 14.1 KDE. The background I have set to change every 20-odd minutes and I have a directory full of pics just for that.

Tkhearts? Never heard of that. Is there a Slackware package around for that?

Actually no. I happened to find it looking for a hearts game for Linux. The hearts also happened to come sorta bundled with a few other tk games. Unfortunately I don't remember where I found it and I don't know how to make it/them into slackware packages, but just setting up an icon in the menu or on the desktop and pointing it to the tkhearts shell script and it starts up faster than any other app on my system. Almost immediately. Can't change screen size on it, but so far it's big enough and doesn't mess with my eyes.

If you want, PM me and I can e-mail you the directory tarballed with everything I found.

Thanks guys. That needs a Slackbuild. I have several others I'm trying to find time to do first though. I'm not going to get to this for a while.
