Hey man can you post your .conkyrc file? I dig your setup.
for sure :P pre-warning, there are some weird ascii boxes that i cant figure out how to remove at the end of each line, but i colored them so you dont really notice it, at least with my wallpaper.
and i realize that after the now playing, there is both a mpd and a clementine at the Now Playing portion, its because i switch off between sonata and clementine for a music player, and i didnt want to change my conkyrc every time i changed moods.
its actually the desktop for the user "guest" on my computer. at first i had it looking just like OSX, then it became a windows 7 clone, but eventually i realized, the only theme i ever really liked that came pre-installed was the windows 95-2000 desktop :P
Greetz
Below is my latest Slackware-Current KDE desktop. It was working for weeks when suddenly Conky started bleeding through the Gnome desktop wallpaper for half the screen. Any ideas appreciated as to how to fix this since I also want to cut back on conky's size since STDIN/STDERR plasmoids do it as well and sometimes better with less resources. I'd like to do it in "one swell foop". Thanks in advance
i always like slackware/arch/gentoo desktops the best, because (at least as far as i've noticed) they're always much more customized than the standard ubuntu desktop customization (a dock and some dark window theme). The more "nitty-gritty" distributions seem to attract a much more customization-driven crowd.
@trademark91:
i believe it was one of your screenshots that got me into openbox.
looked kinda like a computer chip with blue numbers and stuff. darkish theme.

that was my "BlueTech" theme. I've recently been experimenting with the tiling features of openbox. theyre kinda tough to set up, but i'm getting the hang of it pretty quickly (thats why the windows in my current theme have no buttons)
youll have to theme the window interiors yourself; i just used qtcurve with the KDE theme Obsidian Coast (its installed by default in slackware), but with the gray of the windows chosen to match the gray of the openbox border.
keep enjoying openbox!
