changing url opening default in kmail

Hi,

I have an aggrivating problem where when I am reading an email in kmail and I click on a url link, kmail will first download the website onto a local directory then open it in a web browser. The thing I really do not like about this is that resulting 'web site' has nothing but broken links. The pictures are not there and if you click on anything, it is broken.

I just want it to where when I click on a url kmail will simply take you to that website on the internet with your web browser, you know, similar behavior you get in Microsoft Outlook. How can you set this behavior (or fix the behavior)?

Thanks for the help.

with your kmenu editor, append %u to all web browser commands.

So if you were using mozilla as your main browser:
mozilla %u

Konqueror in the menu editor could look like:
kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing %u

Opera:
opera %u

etc., etc., you get the picture.

The %u tells kde to use the real url as opposed to downloading a local cache copy of the resource. This fixes all kde applications that have url linking.
