In KDE, when I click a link, Konqueror tries to download the file instead of simply opening the URL. Does anyone know how to change this setting? I ran into this problem in the past and I solved it by deleting my ~/.kde folder, lol.
The solution is:
Control Center->KDE Components->File Associations
Check text/html
Topmost entry should be Konqueror, if you click edit the command should be
kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing %U
