Ongoing Issue with Touchpad/Cursor Issue


Running Linux Mint (Qianna) Cinnamon on a HP Pavillion AMD A8-6410 having 1TB H/D & 8MB Ram.

Having either Touchpad or cursor issue.

supposing this is fairly new hardware, my guess is that it's not a hardware problem.

please look into settings for your touchpad - it is likely to work differently than on windows, so maybe you just have to get used to it.
there's also a command line utility called "syndaemon" which basically disables the touchpad while you're typing. but i guess that this is already part of your touchpad gui utility somehow.

you said one word in the video which sounded like "dynamooter" or "dinamoota", i didn't quite catch it, but you said you unchecked it. please elaborate.

Thanks, I think I meant "disable touchpad while typing". I'll try the "syndaemon" method.

Ongoing Issue with Touchpad/Cursor Issue

Hi Purple52 i have a simular problem and my temp fix was to adjust the touchpad sensitivity and enable disable touchpad while typing.
