I have a toshiba L305 laptop with fedora 15 installed it works fine . But when i switch to lxde desktop touchpad of my laptop is not working . . this is not in the case for gnome and kde desktop ,it works in gnome and kde desktop .
You can configure your synaptics touchpad with the "synclient" tool. I'd suggest to read the manpage for synclient and check if it helps you to configure your touchpad in a way that it works with lxde. As far as I know Gnome and KDE come with their own touchpad-configuration-tools.
