Cool Linux and Movie Production Editing

I’m referring to “Big Screen” digital movie editing for low budget productions. Microsoft doesn’t get the job done and what I need is not only the video portion of editing, but also multiple audio track and picture to audio synchronization.

We have finished a low budget digital film, however, the cost of having an outside vender edit the film has been costly.

Another reason for thinking about doing this with open source, is we want to use some of our own special effects and not have to go out and purchase the effects for the "way over budget" costs it would intale.

Thanks in advance.
