Question editing movie file


i am new to linux. i would like to know is there any clone in linux like the vcdcutter in windows. if so please give me some details how i can get it.

I personally never used vcdcutter (that I can remember) however, movie editors such as avidemux and MainActor (professional) might do the job for ya. You can also look at Cinderella, and/or Kino.

Finally to do just about anything else with Movies, definitely get www.mplayerhq.hu As it will be an essential tool in the collection
