this cant be good...I couldnt even watch Resident Evil. The only video games I think would make good movies are the Grand Theft Auto series,.

Depends how they'll do it. Personally I think 90% of Hollywood's movies are crap. Be it based on games or not. I kinda enjoyed Mortal Kombat the movie, more then I actually enjoy that crappy little game. Though, Street Fighter the movie, starring with Chun-Li as reporter and Balrog and E.Honda working for her as hers assistants were just the biggest joke I've ever seem.

Again, it will pretty much depend how they will do it. Judging something that is not even out yet is just plain silly...

I just read an article today in TIME magazine about the programmers behind the DOOM game and it was suppose to have been a milestone of it's kind. What with the 3-D animation and life like monsters. DOOM 3, just released was supposed to have topped that in computer animation. According to the article, a lot of research went into how to make everything seem real. I've never played the game so I can't critique it myself but the article was very interesting. Did mention the movie but not M$.

I loved MK1, liked a little bit less MK2 (there were improvements, but babalities and friendship just were silly, in my humble opinion) and hated MK3 and it's clones (UMK3 and MKTrilogy). The AI in the 3 series was too bad. It was either too easy or as hard as a lifeless nerd who plays all day on the basement and never had a girlfriend: Perfect combos, amazing counter attacks. It felt like the machine knew what you were going to do even before you(?). Clearly done to steal our quarters. Two player mode was cooler though. MK4 is just plain bad... I've lost the hope for MK series until I've played MK-Deadly Alliance and Deception for the Xbox. Now that rocked, at last .

I totally agree with you on Blood Omen. Raziel and Kain would be great in a vamp-like movie

I just looked in the cast for the movie... The Rock is playing Sarge.
The last time I saw The Rock, it was in The Scorpion King, and that sucked. I'm taking this movie with a bucket of salt.

And MK-Trilogy is a shame. If you play as Khan and use taunts it can cause Khan to keep jumping without any reason till the end of the match... Talking about buggy code.

The bosses are so overpowered that you don't need to use any other character to beat the game. Unless, of course, you use Sub-Zero or Noob Saibot and keep using frezzing/paralyzing till the end of the game. Or get an ordinary character and be smashed for the cheese AI the game offers.

MK is the most overhyped game of all time. It could pretty much be the suckiest suck that has ever sucked... just as Half-Life is...
