k9copy crashing once ripping begins

I am running k9copy on Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy, and it keeps crashing once I start the actual ripping process. At first, it would crash when I had the target set to the dvd-writer, but it worked when I set it to an iso image. Now, after using it for about 5 dvd's, it's crashing on both settings. I can open the dvd and edit the menus fine, but moments after I start the ripping process, it crashes with no error messages.

I am new on linux, including as much detail in your response as possible is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Tedis

I would erase all k9copy config files and remove then reload the deb and see if that fixes it. Of course making sure I got lates release which I think is 1.1.0. If that didn't work I'd try an older version.

config files =
/home/smiley/.kde/share/config/k9copyrc
/home/smiley/.kde/share/config/K9Copy

I assume that there's plenty of disk available also
