FC3 and Evolution (won't receive)

I've been using FC since 1 and haven't ever had a problem with configuring my Evolution to work properly. Since I installed FC3 (clean) I can send mail, but I can't receive any (remote pop server). I know there is mail on that server as I can check it via the web.

Is anyone else having this problem? am I maybe misspelling simething in the setup?

And the plot thickens...

Can't get Thunderbird to receive from my pop account either. So, this is not a client problem. This is a configuration problem or a problem with my provider. I think I'll call my provider.

Dum dum duhhh....

Internet is working fine so the connection is okay.

Talked to my provider. The problem is not on their end.

Setup a test account on a (ACK!) winbox and received the mail fine.

FC2 = everything fine
FC3 = something wrong

conclusion?

FC3 = problem.

Solution?

Update FC3.

Fixed? y/N

N

Solution?

re-install FC3 and update.

Outcome?

Monitor doesn't work. Can't even login to check email.

Many profanities spouted. Thinking of getting the hammer from my workshop and doing wicked wicked things to 4 CD-ROMs...
