Ive been using evolution for a long time now, but recently have been haveing issues to the point to where i have to give up on it and fetch my main using http....anyway, when i click send and receive on evolution, i get nothing, nothing at all, i see where a windows appears quickly in my taskbar, and just as fast as it appeares it dissappears. Ive searched ximians site, and google groups and cannot find anything.
has anybody had a problem like this before?
evolution version is 1.4.5
using gentoo 1.4 with up-to-date packages. ive tried reinstalling evoluition, and nothing. im at a loss, completely. if i cant fix this im going to dump evolution, i cant figure out why it stopped working properly all of the sudden.
If you run Evo from a terminal, do you get errors?
Was this installation of Evo working and suddenly stopped, or is this a new, never-worked install?
Evolution (and other programs, but Evolution in particular) is particular about info in /etc/hosts Commented or blank lines can cause fits. Check that as well.

honestly its hard to remember, problems started a few weeks back, and ive been working on it off-and-on, it may have been after i upgraded the version, think it was 1.4.3 B4, now its 1.4.5.
