[Kubuntu 20.04] LibreOffice Writer 7.2.2.2 - Save As and Open dialog boxes

Hello,
I am on Kubuntu 20.04.
I have downloaded LibreOffice from this site and installed it myself, so I have Version = 7.2.2.2

When you open the Save As or Open dialog box, the filter field is editable. The user can type whatever he wants in this field.
Why is it like that when in other applications, the filter field is NOT editable?

why do you think that?
You can definitely enter any free-form filter (if you wish).

Why would people want to enter a free-form filter?
The application is limited to handling a certain set of file formats.
