Programs in Xfce4 freeze during save file dialog boxes

Hi guys,
Whenever I try to save a file using Firefox, if I try to change the save location the browser just freezes on me. If I save it to the location already presented, I have no problems. I recently realized that it is not just a Firefox problem, but it occurs whenever I try to navigate a save file dialog box using any program in xfce. Something similar also occurs when I use the "set desktop background" dialog box in the xfce options; it will take up to 10 seconds for all the options (wallpapers in this case) to load.

If you guys don't know the answer, could someone tell me which program is responsible for these dialog boxes? Is it Thunar or xfwm?

I'm using xubuntu edgy btw.

Thank you
