Question Is there a SuSE activeX capability?

Hi, I'm running SuSE 10.0. I have an IP camera connected to my network.
The controls for the camera work ok under windows, but not with SuSE Linux.
This is because the browser FireFox requires activeX. So, the question: is there such a thing as
activeX that runs with SuSE/Linux/FireFox?

No... at least, not that I know of. However, you CAN run MSIE under wine/CrossOver and get some Active-X controls to work.

ActiveX is, as far as I know, "Internet Explorer only" -stuff. Your chances are to run IE trough Wine on Linux, or do things the right way and use non-ActiveX controls.

What can you tell me about "Wine"? Is it free? Is it easy to install?
Thanks.

Start here

I've sucessfully had apps running on it - can take some tweaking, hair pulling, shouting etc to get them working though
