activex


i was just curius if anyone has ever gotten activex to work under linux. like by wining ie or something, just curious.

No, really though, I believe there are some that have gotten it to work. Search around on Wine's website. There is a list of programs and versions that run in wine.

I believe the next version of Konqueror will have some ActiveX support.

Good god I hope not. One of the main reasons I switched to Linux in the first place was security. ActiveX is the single biggest security dogdoo that MS ever inflicted on the world, and that's saying something. Personally I can live without ActiveX adverts on the web if I get better security from doing so. ;>
