How do I install this IDE Controller Card under Slackware 10?

I've got this IDE controller card which claims to be linux compatible:

I have a 40Gb seagate HD on there, and I wish to install slack on it... what steps do I have to take for slackware installer to see and use this drive?

atomicbanana; most os,s will recoqinze device once installed. if not recommend reading howto,s first to avoid problems! so if not sure do reading 1st then install & let os pick it up. especially since device is linux supported but double check with
hardware compatiblilty section on ide contollers.
