Hunting for an IDE Controller card.

Ok, so I'm in the market for an IDE controller card that works well with Linux. I need room for at least 2 HDDs - CDROM support is optional. It has to be cheaper than 30 bucks, as well.

I'd like personal recommendations more than anything else, but if you can point me to reviews I'll take that much as well. A number of companies advertise "linux compatible", but that doesn't tell me jack. Does it work well? Does it have any quirks? Will I have to recompile the kernel (I don't have a problem with that, I do it with every install - I just hate having to do it again and again) or add in their own module?

You should have 2 IDE ports on your motherboard. Why would you need a separate IDE controller card?

To add more ports. I have 2 hard drives (1 200 gig, 1 160 gig), a DVD drive, and a CD burner. I'm adding on an 80 gigger and probably moving my external enclosure 250 gigger inside.
