Dualboot XP/SW 9.1 Failure

Hi,
I installed slackware 9.1 for the first time, on a newly formatted harddisc, after installing windows xp.
But when i reboot, XP automatically loads...
You've got an idea of how to fix it?

Please let me hear, thanks..

It sounds like windows still holds the mbr. Windows is like the soup nazi when it comes to the mbr. Use a linux boot/rescue disk to get in there, then configure grub/lilo.

We need a little more detail. Did you install LILO when you installed Slackware? To what location did you install LILO?

Print the Slackware-HOWTO from the Slackware CD1 and read Section 4.7 LILO, then you should be able to do the following.

Insert your Slackware CD1, reboot the computer, enter the word setup and then choose the option for LILO. If you don't know how you partitioned LILO, and where your root partition lies, it's probably easiest to let LILO install automatically, instead of as expert. It should tell you what's happening. Install LILO to the MBR..
