PinebookPro sysfs and kernel

With regards to the PinebookPro popping sound .....

Pop/click suppression workaround
If you're annoyed by a loud pop sound (especially few seconds after a sound stream stops) you can launch the command echo 50 > /sys/kernel/debug/asoc/rockchip,es8316-codec/dapm_pop_time with a service file at boot. (PinebookPro Wiki)
However, the directories and file '/asoc/rockchip,es8316-codec/dapm_pop_time' do not exist. Is this something that has to be compiled in the kernel?

looking at this and that I found
this link

which mentions the service file
Quote:
[Unit]
Description=Play silent sound file

[Service]
Type=oneshot
ExecStart=aplay -r 8000 -f S16_LE /dev/zero
RemainAfterExit=yes

[Install]
WantedBy=graphical.target
and we all know what a target is wink wink

so, doing more looking, there's no dapm in
/usr/src/linux-6.1.55/.config

but there is
/usr/src/linux-6.1.55/sound/soc/soc-core.c

where there is mentions of dapm

@glorsplitz ... yeah thanks for the interest and the squiz. I saw that Reddit thread as well. I'll have another look but I'm busy the rest of the day. As for what a target is .... I must've been in the boy's room when they covered that ... dunno with or without the winks. Cheers
