Personally I have always made my own install of xmms from when it was dropped and am glad it's officially back. For some reason it always has seemed to run better for me than audacious - especially as a back-end to Streamtuner. I like to cycle through streams till I find one I like and audacious appeared much slower when doing this than xmms. This could have been something to do with settings but I never really investigated it much - I just put xmms back and all was well.
